Meet the Speakers
Luke Jeagal is a corporate attorney at Mintz LLP, specializing in corporate and startup law. He advises companies across various industries, including healthcare, technology, and life sciences. Prior to his legal career, Luke conducted clinical research in thoracic surgery and respirology, co-authoring several high-impact publications in international medical journals. He also has experience in venture capital at the pre-seed stage, as well as in artificial intelligence research and in international trade.
Victoria Liu is a corporate attorney at Mintz LLP with a broad practice that encompasses ECVC, M&A, corporate finance, securities law, and blockchain matters, with experience in commercial contracts, licensing, and digital currency regulations. Before joining Mintz, she was an associate at a global law firm and co-founded a blockchain startup, where she helped launch a $15 million ICO and navigated securities and investment issues. Before becoming a lawyer, Victoria was a biochemist and managed a global agricultural science innovation program for a multinational biotech company based in the United States. She also previously served on the advisory board for high-tech startups in the University of Toronto’s entrepreneurship incubator.
